Ministries

Our church is built around ministries that seek to disciple people with life-controlling problems; to help them know Jesus and to follow in His footsteps. We desire to build up the body of Christ as well as seek out those who are without hope and share the hope of Jesus Christ with them.

HOUSE OF ADULLAM

Men’s Discipleship Program, House of Adullam

Reaching out to those who are stuck in life controlling problems, the House of Adullam for men is an in-house, long-term (one to two years) intense discipleship program. Our intent is to share a different way of life, one with hope and healing in the love of Jesus. Our program is saturated with the Word and learning life-skills; helping the men to become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive. Our program includes work-study’s and Biblically-based teaching and counseling.

Who is this for?

Our program is for men who have been drug and alcohol addicts, are coming right out of prison, gang life, living on the streets, or who have no addictions but suffer from severe anger, trust, anxiety issues.  We believe everyone needs Jesus in their life and the body of Christ at Christian Biker Tabernacle as well as House of Adullam are dedicated to helping these men become whole in Christ and active contributing members of our community.

How does this program work?

Our yearlong program is split into two six-month periods.

The First 6 Months:

This is a period where men come to us, taking time away from the world and the chaos they came from in order to heal, mind, body and spirit. During this period we focus on getting the men into a structured environment. We teach them responsibility, work ethic, and how to have a relationship with the Lord, to be a part of the body of Jesus, and how to implement this into their daily lives.

We start each day with chores and getting ready for the day and then we do a chapter of the book of Proverbs together. This practical book builds solid life principles into the men.

After Proverbs the men go out on various work assignments which keeps minds and hands busy. Through these work assignments the men learn:

  • a trade skill
  • how to work with others in order to accomplish a task
  • communication skills
  • how to start a job and see it through to the end
  • how to do the right thing in a difficult situation, not compounding poor choices, but to understand when a poor choice was made and how to move forward

In addition to this they have daily homework, learning the Word of God and applying it to their lives

The men follow a weekly schedule as well. The idea behind this is that they may learn how to lead productive lives while making time for the Lord in a busy world, and how to practice being a part of the body of Christ, and to learn to walk with each other in worship and encouragement.

  • They attend two church services on Sundays (one at the Tabernacle and one at one of our sponsoring churches)
  • Spiritual 12-Step on Mondays
  • Church service at CBT on Thursdays
  • Bible studies on Fridays
The Second 6 Months:

This is the transitional part of the program. Having successfully learned new skills and life patterns now we walk beside them as they begin looking for work, taking care of personal obligations (like obtaining a driver license) doing community service, and taking care of other responsibilities. During this time the men are still required to keep up with their daily homework, weekly meetings, and chores. The men at this point are expected to have a grasp of how to do life responsibly and practice what they’ve learned over the last six months.

After obtaining employment we require the men pay rent and start a budgeting plan in order to show them what responsibility looks like and how to properly manage it. It’s our hope and prayer that these men take hold of the opportunity set before them and are able to leave this program with the tools to stand on their own two feet, both financially and spiritually, being leaders in the church and community.

CHRISTIAN 12-STEP

Christian 12 Step

We meet from 6 PM to 8 PM every Monday. Open to all! Dinner is included.

You are invited to Christian Biker Tabernacles spiritual 12-step meetings. This is a Bible-based, 12-step program that addresses addiction issues and teaches responsibility and accountability. Our heart is to give hope in Christ, show love through support, and encourage change through Bible-based recovery from substance abuse, emotional strongholds, and codependency. For this reason, in addition to studying the original 12-steps, we do a Bible study at each meeting, along with sharing. The time we spend going over the study is very rich and quite enlightening.

Our church’s primary focus is our in-house discipleship ministry. Not everyone can do or needs an in-house program but many people struggle with addictions, depression and other life issues. This program, open to all, is also a supplement to our discipleship ministries which exists to help people learn to live by relying on Jesus. Come and join in their learning, grow

As the first of the 12-steps says, we admit that we had become powerless over “__fill in the blank__” we had abused and that our lives were unmanageable. We chose to surrender our life over to our God in heaven, Father of Jesus and His Spirit who will live inside of each of us. We say “__fill in the blank__” because everyone has something in their life that can become a damaging behavior. These 12-steps along with the Bible will lead us to a life of freedom in the power of Christ Jesus.

All are welcome so we hope you will join us.

Outreach to the Homeless

Homeless Outreach – To Offer Hope

Many of us here at the Christian Biker Tabernacle were homeless, with criminal histories, or lost in addictions and hopelessness. Homeless outreaches brought many of us to this church where we could get help and find hope.

Our Mission and Purpose:

Duet.15:11 “For there will never be a time when there are no poor in the land; and so I give orders to you, Let your hand be open to your countrymen, to those who are poor and in need in your land.”

We reach out to the forgotten. The ones that have been pushed off by society because of mental health issues, drug addiction, criminal history and people just down on their luck; showing the love of Jesus Christ and offering hope where there seems to be no hope.

By meeting physical needs our purpose is to build a bridge, to build trust, to let them see the love of Christ who leaves the 99 to pursue the lost. When they see we care our hope is they will avail themselves of our other ministries; men’s discipleship, Christian 12-step, and the joy of being a part of a body that loves them, where we all walk beside each other in the hope, forgiveness and Love of Christ.

Our Vision:

We travel the streets looking for the afflicted all year round for hunger and hope has no time frame.

What we do:

As of today we are doing street feedings and making connections two times a week due to limited supplies and financing. Our vision is to provide a sack lunch to 100+ people every day, to spread the word of God and offer the hope of Jesus to as many people as possible.

Would you like to help?

If you are interested in donating supplies or funds to help us buy supplies, or would like to help prepare the lunches and/or hand them out, or just want more information, please contact us.
